Calor de Invierno was the winter drop for Pleito Company, a Puerto Rican clothing brand. It was inspired by the country's unique interpretation of winter, or lack thereof. Not defined by snow, but by culture, celebration, and community, Puerto Rico has by far the longest holidays.
In this project, I was tasked with the creative direction, apparel design, and visual storytelling, developing garments and graphics that translated the warmth of Puerto Rican holiday traditions into wearable pieces. The challenge was a winter collection that still felt authentic to the island's tropical identity. Instead of relying on traditional winter garments and visuals, I focused on elements deeply rooted in Puerto Rican culture such as parrandas, chinchorreos, Christmas lights, and family gatherings.
Through earthy color palettes, nostalgic graphics, and lifestyle-focused styling, the collection redefined what "winter" can look and feel like in Puerto Rico.
