Project Brief
Coloniv is a Puerto Rican clothing brand that focuses on highlighting the culture of the island in every drop they make. Their pieces are looked at from a political viewpoint, and they tailor their identity by combining these elements with the streetwear culture.
In this project, I led the visual direction, apparel design, and illustration work for a capsule celebrating Puerto Rico's golden era of Salsa music. The goal was to honor legends like Hector Lavoe while making the style resonate with today's youth. I fused vintage concert poster aesthetics, monochrome portraits, and bolds 70s inspired typography to create streetwear that carries the rhythm and pride of Puerto Rican culture.
